Tracking Activity in Your Manifestly Account
Manifestly records what happened: who completed which step, when, what data they entered, what was edited and when things ran late. It is kept for the life of your subscription, which is what makes the account an audit trail rather than just a to-do list.
Where to look
Activity is visible at three levels, and which one you want depends on the question.
- A workflow's history. What changed in the process itself, by whom. Open the workflow's Change Log. See Viewing Workflow History.
- A run's activity. What happened during that particular piece of work: steps completed, data entered, comments left.
- The account Activities page, under Reports, for everything at once, filtered by date.
Questions it answers
- "Who signed this off, and when?" The run's activity, and the step itself.
- "Why does this workflow behave differently from last month?" The workflow's change log, which will show the edit and who made it.
- "We deleted something by mistake." The account Activities page is also where deletions are recorded and where a deleted workflow or run is restored from. See How to delete a Workflow.
For audits
When somebody outside needs evidence rather than access, export the run as a PDF: it carries the steps, who completed them, when, and the data collected, in one document. See Exporting Workflows and Runs.
This is the reason to resist deleting runs for tidiness. Archiving keeps the history; deleting removes it. See How to delete or archive a workflow run.
