Reports
The Reports section is the account-level view of how work is going, as opposed to the per-workflow report. Everything in it is filtered by a date range, which defaults to the last 30 days and can be changed.
The four sections
- Overview, the account summary: runs started, completed and late, broken down by workflow and by person.
- Activities, the audit trail of everything that has happened. See Tracking Activity in Your Manifestly Account.
- Exports, where files you have generated are collected for download. See Exporting Workflows and Runs.
- Utilization, who in the account is actually using Manifestly.
The Overview
Three things sit on the Overview, and each answers a different question.
- The summary gives you the account totals for the period.
- Departments or Workflows. With more than one department in view you get a department list; narrow to a single department and it becomes the workflow table, sortable by times used, currently late, last updated and last used.
- People, the most active participants and step completers.
The currently late and last used columns are the two worth sorting by. Sorting by last used surfaces workflows nobody has run in months, which are usually either obsolete or quietly abandoned, and both are worth knowing. Sorting by currently late finds the process that is consistently behind.
Going deeper on one workflow
The account view tells you which workflow has a problem. To find out what the problem is, open that workflow's own report, which breaks down durations, late steps, collected data and the workflow's own health. See Workflow Reports.
If you need a report that is not here
Two routes when the built-in reports do not answer your question: export the underlying runs and analyse them in a spreadsheet, or pull the data through the API into whatever you already use. See The Manifestly API.
We are always interested in which reports teams actually need, so tell us what you are trying to measure.
