Reordering Tasks in an Ad Hoc Run
A QuickList is rarely written in the order you end up doing it. Tasks can be dragged into any order, and into and out of sections, at any time.
Move a task
- Find the drag handle at the left of the task.
- Press on it and drag the task up or down.
- Release. The new order saves by itself, with nothing to confirm.
Move a task into a section
Drag the task onto the area under the section heading you want it in. Dropping it there moves it into that section rather than merely past it.
Reordering sections
Section headings can be dragged among the other sections, taking their tasks with them. A section cannot be dropped inside another section, so nesting is not possible.
If dragging is awkward
On a long list, dragging from the bottom to the top is fiddly. It is usually quicker to move the small number of tasks that are out of place than to drag one task a long way, and on a touch screen a press-and-hold on the handle before moving is more reliable than a quick swipe.
