Notifications Overview

Notifications are available across multiple channels:

  • Email
  • Slack
  • Web & Mobile push
  • Microsoft Teams,
  • SMS (Enterprise plan).

Not all notification types are available on every channel.


Every notification can be turned on/off on your profile settings.

Invited to Run Notifications

Sent to participants when they are added to a new run. If you are the person creating the run, the system is smart enough not to send you a notification.

New Assignment Notifications

Sent to people when they are assigned a specific step in a run.

Mention Notifications

Sent when someone @mentions you in a comment on a run. Mentions are similar to what happens in Facebook or Twitter.

Comment Notifications

Sent for all comments. This is off by default.

Run Completed Notifications

Sent when a run in your account is completed. You can choose to receive none of these, all of them for your account, or only notifications for runs you are a participant on.

Step Completed Notifications

Sent when a step is completed for a run you are part of. You can turn these on or off.

Reminder Notifications

Sent when a reminder is triggered for a run or step. Reminders can be configured on workflows to notify participants before a due date or at a specific interval.

Run Almost Late Notifications

Sent when a run in your account is almost late – which is only relevant if you have set a due date for the run. You can choose to receive none of these, all of them for your account, or only notifications for runs you are a participant on.

Run Late Notifications

Sent when a run in your account is late – which is only relevant if you have set a due date for the run. You can choose to receive none of these, all of them for your account, or only notifications for runs you are a participant on.

Step Late Notifications

Sent when an individual step in a run is late — only relevant if a due date has been set on the step. You can choose to receive none of these, all of them for your account, or only notifications for runs you are a participant on.

New User Added

Sent when a new user is added to your account.

Daily Account Overview

A daily digest of activity in your account including outstanding runs and late runs.

Weekly Account Overview (email only)

An overview of your account activity. Includes information on completed, in-progress, and late runs.

Notification Channels

Email

All notification types are available via email. This is the default channel for all users.

Slack

If your account has Slack connected, most notification types are also available as Slack direct messages. Configure these in the Slack tab of your notification settings.

Web & Mobile

Push notifications can be sent to your browser or mobile device. A subset of notification types are available on this channel. You can add multiple devices in your notification settings.

Microsoft Teams

If your account has Microsoft Teams connected, most notification types are available as Teams messages. Configure these in the MS Teams tab of your notification settings.

SMS (Enterprise)

SMS notifications are available on the Enterprise plan. Once configured and verified, you can receive key notifications via text message.
