Workflow editor modes

The workflow editor has a Modes dropdown in the toolbar that switches the editor into one of five focused views. When you pick a mode, every step collapses to its title, and the dimension you are working on appears directly underneath with its own edit button. Everything else gets out of the way.

The five modes

  • Data Fields: see and edit the form fields on every step.
  • Due Dates: review and set relative due dates across the workflow.
  • Conditional Logic: see which steps show or hide based on rules.
  • Reminders: audit and configure reminder notifications.
  • Webhooks: see which steps fire webhooks, and edit their configuration.

How to use a mode

  1. Open any workflow in the editor.
  2. Click the Modes dropdown in the toolbar.
  3. Pick the dimension you want to focus on (Data Fields, Due Dates, etc.).
  4. Every step collapses to its title. Below each title you will see only the items relevant to that mode, each with its own edit button.
  5. Switch modes at any time, or return to the standard editor view by reopening the dropdown and choosing the default.

When to use this

Modes are most useful when you are auditing or sweeping changes across a long workflow:

  • Reviewing every step reminder cadence in one pass
  • Adjusting due dates after a process has been running for a while
  • Tracing conditional logic without scrolling through unrelated step content
  • Confirming which steps fire webhooks after a deployment change
