Dark Mode setting
Manifestly has a dark theme, and the left navigation can be collapsed to a strip of icons. Both are on the same panel at the bottom of the left navigation, and both are personal settings: they change what you see, not what your colleagues see.
Switch between dark and light
- Look at the bottom of the left navigation for the small toggle switch.
- Click it. The whole app changes theme straight away, with no page reload and nothing to save.
- Click it again to go back.
Collapse the left navigation
Below the theme toggle are Collapse and Expand Menu.
- Collapse narrows the navigation to its icons, which gives the workflow or run you are reading the rest of the width. This is worth doing on a laptop screen when you are editing a workflow with long step titles.
- Expand Menu brings the labels back.
Where the choice is remembered
Both choices are stored in the browser you made them in, not on your Manifestly account. That has two consequences worth knowing:
- Signing in on another computer, or in another browser, starts you back in light mode with the navigation expanded. Set it again there.
- Clearing your browser's site data resets both.
Nobody else is affected by the change, so you can work in dark mode while the rest of your team stays in light mode.
If something looks wrong in dark mode
If you find a screen where text is hard to read against its background in dark mode, tell us which screen it was. Contrast problems are usually specific to one page rather than the theme as a whole, and naming the page is what lets us fix it.
