Using multi-select with the Choose from List data collection option

Manifestly updated the Choose from List data collection option to allow multiple choices when creating the data collection for a step. You can add your choices as normal, then enable the multi-select option to allow selecting more than one value.

What to do

1. Add your choices as you normally would in the data collection editor.
2. Enable the multiple choice option on the setup screen.
3. Save or apply your changes.

Using multi-select in a run

What you will see

In the run, you will see the list of options and you can select multiple choices. The interface will display as a multi-select, but with a small set of options, typically shown as checkboxes.

Longer lists

For longer lists, the multi-select interface remains compact and supports multiple selections.

• Multi-select is displayed as a set of checkboxes.
• You can select more than one option.
• The multi-select is designed to stay compact, even with longer lists.

Tips

• Test your multi-select in a run to verify that selections are captured correctly.
• If you have a very long list, consider organizing options into logical groups to ease selection.
