Can I update a run with changes to the workflow?
Yes. If you started a run and then spotted a missing step, a typo or a step in the wrong order, you can fix the workflow and push that change out to runs that are already in progress.
Edit the workflow, then click Update Runs in the editor toolbar and choose which in-progress runs should receive the change. Work already done stays done.

When it will not work
Two cases where a run cannot be updated:
- The run is finished or archived. Only scheduled and in-progress runs can take an update.
- The run has been customized. If anyone has edited that run directly, such as adding a step just for it, the run stops following the workflow permanently and will not appear in the update list again.
In those cases the fix has to be made in the run itself.
